Wale discusses different color shades

Bookmark and Share

One of the hardest songs on the album is this joint right here "Shades" Wale spits some REAL lyrical truth in this song. Wish more artist would put meaning into their album besides that water down tracks I've been hearing for the past 5 years! Nevertheless here's the record!... Oh yeah the Wale "Attention Deficit" ablum is bananas! If you don't know... GETTA CLUE!

Wale Chillin, DC Chillin! " What more can I say!"

Bookmark and Share

Now if you haven't herd it from me before, I said it back before "The Mixtape About Nothing", Wale is one of my favorite artists and I don't have a favorite artist. Get the lingo?! Anyway, so it seems that he's here with another single "Chillin" to hit the media. The song has Lady Gaga feature on it, but it sounds to me as if she's bitin' Santogold or MIA style. Nevertheless the track goes hard with a sample from Steam... you guessed it "Na Na Na Hey Hey!" Cool & Dre produced the record, which I wouldn't had guessed that. So put this in your iWhateva and play it. Shouts out to Conerstone and 1200squad! If you still don't know... GETTA CLUE!

Take a listen!

XXL Mag Recognizes "The 10 Freshmen Hip-Hop's Class of 09"

Bookmark and Share

XXL Magazine has come to a conclusion of what is said to be the "new breed" of 2009. I, myself, am please with the panel's decision. You have *Wale*= A "GoGo native", that's DC (the nations capital for those who don't know) who has released four mixtapes and undeniably will be one of the greatest "FLYER THEN THE REST OF THEM". There is *B.O.B.*= An Atlanta native that does not let the stereotypical hip hop swagga define him as an artist. *Asher Roth*= A Pennsylvanian cacassian college kid, who is a lyrical python "aka spits deadly vitem" and doesn't consider himself a rapper "SEE HIM". And there's *Charles Hamilton*= Uptown Native "Harlem" who has a "SUPERSONIC" flow and is not your average, or shall I say a dumb down negro. Also feature in the "Hip-Hop's Class of '09 Attacks" is six other freshmen; Cory Gunz, Blu, Ace Hood, Mickey Factz, Kid Cudi, and Curren$y. Attached with this issue is a 40 track mixtape full of heat of all listed artist. PICK THIS ISSUE UP!
